Assembly Operator | Cowes Isle of Wight 

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and methodical person to join the friendly Spinlock production team based in Cowes. You will be required to build products in large quantities to assembly schedule. Assisting the assembly team in the manufacture of products to meet our sales commitment. You may also prepare components for subcontract work and quality control support.

This role is responsible for the assembly of control/protect products to meet our sales commitments placing emphasis on quality and meeting deadlines. To follow Company Procedures and Quality Procedures at all times. To ensure your workbench and assembly area working in is tidy and clean and to guarantee that the area runs both efficiently and effectively. Working closely with Despatch, Stores and Team Leaders at all times.

Skills/qualifications:
• Problem Solving, Verbal Communication, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus. Listening, Multi-tasking, Manual dexterity is essential, Good practical Skills, Ability to focus and concentrate/attention to detail, Accuracy, Positive approach, Good time keeping, Able to reliably commute to work.

Remuneration – We regularly check our salaries against other companies to make sure we’re competitive and keeping up with changes in the market. This is why we offer an excellent Defined Contribution pension plan that qualifies under Auto-enrolment regulations, where if you contribute the Government set minimum or more of your pay Spinlock will contribute 4%. Conditions apply with increasing minimum contributions as per Auto-enrolment regulations.

Location – Spinlock’s Head Office and Production facility is based in Cowes, the home of yachting. Our head office is in an enviable position overlooking the Solent and two minutes from the town. The Production site sits in a quiet area with excellent facilities with easy access to a food store. The Island is renowned for its watersports, beaches, countryside and festivals. There are great reliable regular links to the Mainland and we are 2 hours from London.

Entertainment – At Spinlock we enjoy getting together for social events such as BBQ’s in the Summer. We hold a Christmas Party every December for all employees and their partners and supply food, drinks and entertainment. The team like to take part in social sporting events.

We are team players, sometimes working long days and weekends, so you need to be flexible. We don’t want to let our colleagues down.
