Spinlock secure more production space
With ongoing global sales growth and new markets continuing to develop, Spinlock has taken the necessary steps to meet this by growing its production facility in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK. The additional 40% space alongside the existing production facility allows the increasing factory team to source and hold more component stock, add in-house processes with new machinery and ultimately grow our finished product output. The growth cycle has been ongoing over 15 years across both CONTROL and PROTECT product categories with Spinlock’ leading range of flotation products delivering consistent additional business in new and existing sectors and countries, with exports contributing over 85% of sales.
CEO Chris Hill comments, “Spinlock has a strong record for investing across all areas of the business. This action will help us meet this significant growth in demand from these new markets such as watersports, fishing and commercial marine as well as with new countries. We have been searching for additional space for some time and are fortunate to secure this area adjacent to our existing production site. Over the course of the last 12 months, with a steady increase in our production staff and coupled with investment in new machinery and tools has allowed us to maintain good lead times, improve efficiency and where possible counter rising production costs.”
This summer Spinlock will also commence redevelopment of the iconic Cowes Police Station site leading to the opening of a new Design, Sales and Marketing studio, conveniently adjacent to the existing HQ home of over 40 years in the heart of Cowes.
